Jay Graham Obituary

Jay Graham was born on March 11, 1942 in Ionia, MI to William and Beatrice Graham. He was a self-employed contractor who loved to build and fix things but he mostly just loved to tinker and figure out ways to do things his way.

He was a patriotic man that loved his country, especially the great outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt, especially with his son, Dennis. He went on adventures all over the world, including Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska, Canada and even New Zealand. Jay and Aggie spent most winters in Orange Beach, AL where they made life long friends. They played cards, went golfing, enjoyed happy hours and just lived the life of snowbirds at Jay’s house. His favorite place in the Summer was spending time at the Lake house. He loved to boat and fish on Tubbs Lake ever since he was a small boy and brought that life to his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 61 years, Aggie (Pline) and his two children, Dennis (Pat) and Rhonda. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Michael and Lauren and 2 two step-grandchildren, Casie and Stephanie (Chuck) along with four step-great grandchildren, Haley, Nathan, Charlie and Luca. He is survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister and has 2 sisters and 1 brother who preceded him in death.

His family would like you to join them in celebrating his life at The Wagon Wheel in Portland, MI on Saturday,  April 25, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
