John Robert Lehman

John Robert Lehman, age 84, of Westphalia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 18, 2021. John was born March 1, 1937 in Eagle, MI. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bernard and Grace Lehman and sister, Margaret Lehman Holliday.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joann (Irrer) Lehman, children, Bernie (Ann) Lehman, Beth (Ted) Terzian, and Dr. Marykay (Matthew Karulf) Lehman, grandchildren, John (Victoria), Matthew, Sarah, James and Katherine Lehman, Teddy and Alex Terzian, Theodore, Sebastian and Julian Karulf and siblings, Joann (Ken) Smith and Joseph (Barbara) Lehman.

John served in the Army National Guard, was an electrician at Westphalia Electric, enjoyed restoring and pulling antique tractors, playing in the dirt and deer hunting at the farm in Manton, teaching the Catholic faith at the Well, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Westphalia. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the St. Mary Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. For those unable to attend the funeral mass, a livestream will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on the St. Mary Parish Facebook and Youtube page. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
