Joseph James Ingraham of Leesburg, FL (born and raised in Portland, MI) gained his wings on September 1, 2024, at the age of 72. Joe was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.
Joe worked for General Motors for 40 plus years, which he finally retired in 2013. Shortly after that in 2014 he moved to the Sunshine State where he enjoyed retirement and the nice warm weather, no more shoveling snow.
Joe always made time for his loved ones, always had a smart comment, but he especially loved giving FYI’s to his kids, one of his kids favorite saying was “Joe knows” because he thought he knew everything. Joe will be missed by the ones who knew him and loved him.
Preceding in Joe’s death are his parents Carl Ingraham and Marilyn Hinds (Anthony), brother Tony, son Mark and grandson Desmond Ingraham. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Sue; and his 4 beautiful children Jamie (Danica) Ingraham, Christina Ingraham (Ryan Grant), Tory Ingraham, Drake Ingraham Carl, Corey and Justin. Also, his siblings Flo (Julian), Zamora Carla (Bill) Hanson, Denise (Jason) Dunlap, Rich Young. His grandchildren Zac and Joe Ingraham Derri (Nick) Thorp, Alexis Hines, Brianna Dankert, Jersey and Jaxon Ingraham. Great granddaughters Mel and Annalise.
Celebration of life will take place on September 14th at 1:00-4:00 p.m., at 10980 Peake Rd., Portland, MI 48875.
