Judy Bell Obituary

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce that our mother, Judy Bell has passed on June 6, 2024, at the age of 59. Judy was 1 out of 8 siblings born to the late, Forest and Waneta Bell in Ionia, Michigan on March 6, 1965. Despite the challenges she faced, Judy found peace in her hobbies and interests. She had a talent for cooking and baking, creating delicious meals that brought people together. Her passion for photography captured moments of beauty and love, preserving memories for generations to come. Judy's green thumb was evident in her flourishing garden where she found peace and tranquility amongst the blooming flowers.

Judy was not only a loving daughter and sister but a devoted mother. She successfully raised her children to be independent and thoughtful adults. Judy was blessed with 5 beautiful granddaughters, Jade Pickvet 8, Paige Pickvet 6, Wren Pickvet 4, Tess Pickvet 2, Kennedy Arquette 8 months, that brought a glow to her eye and renewed strength to her spirit. Although Judy's time with them was cut short, the time she did spend with them will imprint lasting memories and lifelong examples of strength, courage, and love. Their laughter was her music, and their joy was her reward.

In addition to her daughters Layce Pickvet (Ryan Pickvet) and Leasha Mathe (Ken Arquette), Judy is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mickie Baker, Beverly Sharp, Mike Bell, Mitch Bell, Becky Bell, and Waneta Bell. Her absence leaves a void in their hearts that can never be filled.

In her journey through life, Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Waneta Bell, as well as her loving son, Landon Greenhoe and her brother David Bell. The loss of these dear souls weighed heavily on her heart, but their memories she cherished.

Memorial service will be held at Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St. Ionia, Michigan 48846, on Thursday June 20th at noon with formal service at 4pm, dinner to follow at the hunting and fishing lodge at Bertha Brock Park. A Celebration of life will be held at The Cheesehouse, 770 E. Pinconning Rd, Pinconning, Michigan 48650, on Friday June 21st from 3pm – 7pm for her northern family and friends.
