June E. (Schnabel) Piercefield

June Elizabeth (Schnabel) Piercefield, of Lake Odessa, Michigan, passed away January 30, 2021. She was born on June 15, 1928 in Lake Odessa to Joseph and Ethel Schnabel. June married Norm on November 15, 1947. June enjoyed crocheting, reading novels, flowering, gardening, and spending time with her quilting group.

Surviving June are her children, Lucinda (Thomas) Green, Edward, and Gary; six grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Terri Corser; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her husband, Norm; daughter-in-law, Judy; brother, Duncan; and sister-in-law, Marilee.

June graduated from Lakewood High School in 1946. She was a long-time employee of Lake Odessa Co-op for 33 years, retiring in 1989. June was a lifelong pianist for the West Sebewa Church of Christ for the choir.

June and Norm enjoyed spending many years at their cottage, along with travelling in their motor home to Florida. They made many friends along the way and travelled all over the United States to visit them.

Her children and grandchildren will miss having Christmas parties and dinners.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will be at East Sebewa Cemetery.
