Kathy was born on September 24, 1962, in Ionia, Michigan. She is survived by her loving partner of 18 years, Karen Grisamore, whose constant care and love meant everything to her; her brothers David (Sue) Hudson and Bill (Ross) Hudson; her nephews Jacob, Tyler, Nicholas, Mateo; and her beloved niece, Arecelia.
Kathy was a fighter, living with Type 1 diabetes since the sixth grade and surviving many serious health crises—often joking that she had nine lives. Despite it all, she had a joyful spirit, a great sense of humor, and found happiness in simple pleasures like going out to eat, getting her nails done, and staying connected with loved ones through her many phone calls.
A celebration of Kathy’s life is being planned for this summer. Details will be shared when arrangements are finalized. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
