Obituary

Kikuko M. Cummings, age 89, of Ionia, passed away on April 22, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1933 in Osaka, Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katzuki Masuda and Shiga Yamashita and her siblings, Emiko Masuno, Isamu Masuda, Manabe Masuda, and Tsutomu Masuda. Surviving is her sister, Fumie (Susie) Christiansen and niece, Carrol (Jeff) Gravelle of Ionia.

She was a pioneer Buddhist member who loved animals. Kikuko was very artistic and enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, crocheting, gardening, music, and Japanese movies.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ionia County Animal Shelter. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
