Lawrence Paul Hyland

Lawrence Hyland, age 72, of Portland passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022.

Larry is survived by sister, Jackie Hyland Donlan of Lansing; niece, Renee (Andy) Jarvis of Holt; great nieces, Rebecca and Allison; great nephews, Zachary and Ryan Jarvis; and special friends, Chopper and Jonda Schrauben. He is preceded in death by father, Vivian “Bud” Hyland and mother, Mary Hyland.

Larry graduated from and also received his Master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. He worked for many years at Roberts Sinto, followed by years as a consultant. He will be remembered by many friends for his generosity and dry wit.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Deacon Don Sobolewski at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
