Leon J. Feldpausch, of Westphalia, age 94, passed away on January 20, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Feldpausch; dear father of daughter, Deb (Duane) Pung; sons, Duane (Julie) Feldpausch, Dean (Marcia) Feldpausch, Doug (Janet) Feldpausch, Dale (Brenda) Feldpausch, Daryl (Diane) Feldpausch, and Daric (Lynne) Feldpausch; 22 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; brothers, Casper (Therese) Feldpausch and Francis Feldpausch; sister, Mary Ann Thelen; sister-in-law, Adeline Feldpausch and special friend, Dart Hartgerink. Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Armella Feldpausch; wife Theresa; brothers, Bernard, Raymond (Doris), Clement, and Max Feldpausch; sisters, Therese (Alan) Kramer and Agatha Epkey; brother-in-law, Anthony Thelen; and sisters-in-law, Marlene Decker (Lewie) and Louise Feldpausch. Leon was self-employed – an auto dealer, Farm Bureau Insurance Agent, and farmer.
His motto was, “If you meet someone without a smile, give them yours”.
Mass in honor of Leon’s arrival to Heaven will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. at the church on Friday in honor of Leon.
