Obituary
Leona Kay Hanson, 69, of Portland, passed away April 24, 2023. She was born in Anco, Kentucky on February 2, 1954 to Walker and Mary Wanda (Fender) Collins. Leona was always willing to help others and she gave her time selflessly to those in need. Leona was a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years before her retirement. On October 22, 1976, she married Dale Hanson in Nashville, Michigan and they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage together. Preceding Leona in death are her parents; husband, Dale Hanson; and sister, Phyllis Tropholz. She is survived by her sons, Joshua Hanson, Troy Hanson, and Joel Hanson; sisters, Joyce Payne, LouAnn Harris, and Wanda Kimball; and brothers, Buddy Collins and John Collins.
