Linda Platte Obituary

Linda Lou Platte , age 73, of Portland, passed away surrounded by her family on December 27, 2021. She was born in Carson City on September 25, 1948, the daughter of Miles and Geneva (Mepham) Reeves. Linda was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved gardening/tending to her flowers and most importantly; spending time with her family. 

Preceding in death are her parents, in-laws Virgillia and Leonard Platte, infant sister Sharon, Arlene (Joe “Garland”) Soloman and Stephen Meyers. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Frank Platte; Children Kimberly Cooper, Shelly (Scott) Teachout, Douglas “DJ” Platte, Eric (Shelly) Platte; Grandchildren; Nicole Laskey, Clayton and McKenzie (Tanner) Teachout, Clayton and Austin Jarrard, Hunter and Devan Platte. Caitlin (Jaden) Ferguson, Gage Rodriguez and Payten Platte; Great-Grandchildren Brooklyn and Jailin; Sisters; Connie Smith, Carol (John) Bennett, Brother Jimmy (Nancy) Reeves; Platte in-laws, Viola Meyers, Dale (Flos), Jerome, Fred (Dorothy), Don (Terri) and many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life honoring Linda will be held at a later date this coming year. For those wishing, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or The Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Linda.
