Lois Marie (Moriarty) Lowe

Lois Marie Lowe, of Portland, passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born in Portland, Michigan on January 3, 1938 to Gerald and Helen (Cousins) Moriarty. Lois was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and she graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1954. Lois was a selfless woman, she volunteered for many years at Habitat for Humanity. She loved walking on the riverwalk, was an avid reader, and she enjoyed making trips to Lansing to go shopping. Lois’ life revolved around her family, she always made sure everyone was well taken care of. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Lois in death are her parents; husband, Donald Lowe; grandson, Zachery Lowe; son-in-law, Patrick Hoppes; and siblings, Sharon (Larry) Mason, Carol (Stanley) Smith, and Martha Moriarty. Surviving are her children, Dora Hoppes, Timothy (Darclyn) Lowe, Dean (Lucinda) Lowe, and Ellen Lowe; grandchildren, Travis (Audrey) Hoppes, Heidi Hoppes, Amber Lowe, Andrea, Josh (Tracy) Lowe, Anika (Peter) Bonior, Tyson Willingham, Leanna (Hunter) Hewitt, and Tony (Danielle) Harrington; 21 grandchildren; and siblings, Jim (Jean) Moriarty, Casey Greg, Joann Elder, Mike Moriarty, and Monica Rudd.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. with the rosary being prayed at 3:00 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
