Lonzo Ferris Obituary

Lonzo J. Ferris, of Ionia, passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 59. He was born in Ionia on May 7, 1964, the son of John and Madeline Ferris. He was a graduate of Ionia High School - Class of 1983. Lonzo was always helping others and enjoyed doing others yard work. He volunteered at Matthew’s House and enjoyed riding bikes and taking walks. He was a very loving father and grandfather and will be missed by many.

Preceding Lonzo in death are his parents; granddaughter, Breanna Ray; and siblings, Terry and James Ferris. Surviving are his children, Amber (Jose) Barcenas, Benjamin Ferris, Joshua (Alissa) Ferris, Joseph (De’Quawon Coble) Ferris, and Nathaniel Ferris; grandchildren, Marcos Ray, Ilyanna Barcenas, Rosalyn Barcenas, Tiffany Ferris, Arianna Ferris, Haley Ferris, and Joshua Ferris, Jr.; significant other, Sarah Dawson; and several siblings.
