Lorraine Hillyard

Lorraine Hillyard, age 85 of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Portland passed away on September 21, 2020. Lorraine was born on July 9, 1935 in Detroit, MI, daughter of Earl and Amanda Combs. Lorraine retired from Portland Schools, loved her family, friends, students, reading, crocheting, square dancing and had a great sense of humor. Preceding Lorraine in death are her parents; sister; Jacqueline Clark, son; Thomas Hillyard.  Surviving Lorraine are her husband David Hillyard of 65 years, daughters; Arlene Schneider, Elaine Hayes (Larry), grandchildren; Brian Schneider (Bethany) and Brianna Schneider (Trey Cotter), great grandson; David Schneider. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers please donate to Dementia Society of America.
