Louann Lischkge Obituary

Louann (Merrifield) Lischkge, age 67, passed away peacefully with her boys by her side on Monday, April 27, 2026. Louann was born on January 20, 1959, to her mother Maude (Burhans) Merrifield and father Leo Merrifield. The most important thing in life was her family. She was a selfless mother who found her greatest joy in caring for and supporting her boys, always putting their needs before her own. She was a devoted grandmother who ran on snacks, drinks, and hugs when it came to her grandkids. No visit was complete without something to eat, something to drink, and a lot of love wrapped around it all. Louann shared 26 years of marriage with her husband, Larry, and deeply valued the time they spent together, especially their trips to the casino and their getaways up north, which brought them many cherished memories. Louann had a heart that knew no limits. Lou was the best deal finder around. She found joy in garage sales, thrift shopping and she approached a clearance rack like it was a competitive sport. If there was a deal to be found, Louann had already found it and probably found one for you too. She spent much of her life in Eagle, where she became a familiar and beloved presence in the community she so faithfully served. Through her years as a server at the Eagle Inn, Louann had a special way of remembering faces, stories, and even orders, making everyone feel known and welcome. Her regulars quickly became more than customers— they became family. Her laughter, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness that will live on through her family and all the lives she touched.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Maude and Leo Merrifield, brother, Daryl, sisters, Jeri, Bev, Linda and Diane, daughter in-law Liz, and great grandson Maizen. Survived by her husband Larry Lischkge, son’s Jason (Liz) Merrifield, Luke (Sheena) Stemler, Douglas (Alyssa) Stemler, sisters, Jean Bouse and Janette Miller, brother Leo (Jr) Merrifield, stepdaughters, Kim (Doug) Belcher, Shelly Lischkge, grandchildren, Tori, Bailey, Jaysah, Austyn, Jake, Jared, Reed, Ava, Audra and Aria, great grandchildren, Toliah, Taelyn, Ariayah and Aries and nieces, Dione and Darcy that were like daughters to her.
