Lucille Thelen

Lucille Thelen, of Ionia, passed away peacefully November 19, 2021 on her 64th birthday. She was born on November 19, 1957, the daughter of Martin and Martha (Rademacher) Thelen. Lucille was born with developmental disabilities and for most of her life she lived at home with her parents, later moving to an adult foster care home. We are extremely grateful for all of the wonderful care Lucille received over the years. Lucille was happiest when she was around people and she enjoyed welcoming visitors.

Lucille is survived by brothers, Larry Thelen and Dan (Nancy) Thelen of Ionia, and Duane Thelen of Sparta; sisters, Mary Lou (Bruce) Campbell of Lansing, Pauline Harris and Karen Thelen of Ionia, Anita (Bob) Talcott of Saranac, and Sharon (Jim Lauderdale) Thelen of Statham, GA; several aunts and an uncle, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin; mother, Martha; sister, Phyllis Thelen, and brothers, Ralph, Albert, and Dale Thelen.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Brown at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Rite of Committal will be at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Fowler. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
