Maria W. McIntosh

Maria W. McIntosh age 81 of Ionia, passed away om Friday, October 20, 2023. She was born on December 12, 1941 in Bister, Switzerland, the daughter of Theador and Ida Werlen and immigrated to the United States at an early age. Maria was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed fashion and shopping- always keeping up with the latest styles. She also enjoyed traveling back to Switzerland (Europe) and Japan and spending time with her son. Maria was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Amundas Werlen and Werner Werlen. Surviving are her husband, Patrick; children, William (Lonnie) Driscoll, Cynthia (Todd) Cooper and Kathy Driscoll; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Bailey Driscoll, who had a special place in her heart; sister, Elizabeth Pirog; and brother, Alex Werlen.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Brown at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
