Marilyn Kay Nash
June 23, 1950 – May 11, 2025
Age 74, Marilyn passed away on the morning of May 11th, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Luella Nash. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn – “Carrie” (Tom) Meier of Caledonia, niece, Amanda K. (Andy) McCreight, nephew, T.J. (Emily) Meier, great nephews, Patrick and Oliver McCreight and great nieces, Brynn and Madelyn Meier, and good friends, Julie and Tom Bennet.
Marilyn graduated in 1968 from Ionia, then attended College at Massey Fashion Institute of America in Atlanta, GA, and then moved to New York to work for Prudential Insurance company. She then moved to Boston to work at Wang Computers, where she traveled the world marketing for Wang, next she worked at MIT in Cambridge, MA before moving back to Michigan in the early nineties to be with her parents in Ionia. While living in Ionia she was involved in many organizations. She was honored with the 2017 Ambassador of the Year, from the Ionia Chamber of Commerce. She worked on the Free Fair Committee and was honored by the Mayor of Ionia with “The Marilyn Nash Day”, Wednesday January 9th, 2008, for all her outstanding work on the Ionia’s Beautiful Historic downtown building district. She was a very active and a proud member of the United Methodist Church, in Ionia.
Visitation will be Thursday May 15th, 2025, at 1:00 PM with the funeral following at 2:00 PM at Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. A very special thank you to the medical staff at Green Acres of Ionia and to Corewell Health Hospice medical staff for the excellent and kind care for Marilyn over the last few weeks. You are very special.
