Marilyn Regina Pline, of Westphalia, passed away on April 3, 2026 at the age of 87. She was born in Pewamo on September 1, 1938 to Robert and Eleonora (Simon) Pline. She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society, and Peace by Peace Quilters. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and attending P-W sporting events. She was known as “the baby whisperer” as she had a gentle way with calming babies. Marilyn loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews and she was a friend to anyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Marilyn in death are her parents; brother, Robert (Alice) Pline; sister, Ann Heckman; and brothers-in-law, Jay Graham and Larry Murray. Surviving Marilyn are her sisters, Aggie Graham, Loraine (Philip) Schmitt, and Irene Murray; brother-in-law, Jim (Ellen) Heckman; and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 2-7 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
