Marion Louise Keusch passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 100. She was born February 21, 1924, in Shindle, Pennsylvania to Foster and Irene Wray. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served between 1944 to 1946. Marion passed away at the VA Hospital in Lake City, Florida but had previously lived at Willow Brook assisted living for the past 10 years.
She married Charles Keusch, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together. Charles passed away on June 16, 2013. In their time together they owned Keusch’s General Store from 1960 to 1969 in Langston, Michigan. They then moved to Naples, Florida where she worked for United Telephone Company for 20 years.
In her retired years she spent her time shared between Lake City, Florida, Portland, Michigan and Klines Resort in Three Rivers, Michigan. She enjoyed all the good things in life, like bingo and blackjack. She was also known to have several word search books around her. Marion enjoyed music and bible study at Willow Brook.
Preceding her in death was her husband, her sister Elva Kennedy, her brother-in-law Dean Kennedy and her grandson Colby Keusch.
Surviving are her children, Douglas (Inez) Keusch and Michael (Marlene) Keusch and Charlotte (Ed) Dennard, her sister Beverly (Joe) Yoder. Eight grandchildren, Douglas Jr. (Patty), Kurt (Amy), April (Tim) Parachos, Amy (Jameel) Abdo, Shaun (Caroline), Amber Drake, Todd (Charlene) Redish and Angie Williamson. She also has seventeen great grandchildren along with four great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, Michigan. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Robert Beckett at 10:00 am, on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Portland Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #4090. A luncheon will follow at the Portland VFW. Online condolences may at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
