Mary Lou Weber, age 91, of Pewamo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 3, 2021. She was born in Westphalia on January 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Edward and Marcella (Rademacher) Spitzley. Mary Lou was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and she was a caterer for several years. She enjoyed quilting, baking, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Tom Weber; daughter, Sandra Weber; and son-in-law, Ray Darling. Surviving Mary Lou are her children, Sue Darling, Linda (Bob) Werner, Brenda Pline, Tom (Maggie) Weber, Sally Thelen, and Mike Weber; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Steve (Georgia) Spitzley, LeRoy Spitzley, and Kathy (Donald) Hengesbach; and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Darrel Kempf at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. The rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. at the chapel on Wednesday. For those wishing, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Mary Lou.
