Michael Royce Droste passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on July 5, 1957, to James and Deanna Droste, who preceded him in death. The oldest of eight children, Mike was raised in Westphalia, Michigan, and graduated from Pewamo-Westphalia in 1976. He later founded his own carpentry and drywall business, Droste Home and Farm Construction. Mike took pride in being a local handyman and enjoyed spending time at Camp Kohagen, golfing, playing Setback, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Mike is survived by his children Andrea (Patrick) Fedewa, Adam Droste, and Abraham (Kelsey) Droste; grandchildren Lillian and Olivia Fedewa, and Rhett, Lena, and Tate Droste; his siblings; lifelong and deer camp friends Dennis “Merv” Miller and Dean Kohagen; and many other friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the relatives, friends, and caregivers at both UM Health–Sparrow Lansing and Ionia, as well as Elara Caring, who offered kindness, support, and prayers throughout Mike’s life.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 2–8 p.m., with the Rosary prayed at 1:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Weber on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia.
