Mitchel Heminger Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mitchel Alan Heminger, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and cherished friend, who left us on December 4, 2024 at the age of 63.

Mitch was a true adventurer, with an insatiable love for the outdoors. Whether he was riding the trails or cruising down the open road on his beloved Harley Davidson, Mitch found joy in every journey. In addition to his love of riding, Mitch was a gifted and talented man who could fix anything. His skills and creativity were unmatched, and he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His generosity, coupled with his incredible talent, left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

More than anything, Mitch fiercely loved his family. As a father and grandfather, he instilled values of integrity, hard work, and adventure in those who followed in his footsteps. His legacy of love, strength, and loyalty will continue through his children, grandchildren, and all who were lucky enough to be part of his life.

Though Mitch and his ex-wife, Sue, had parted ways years ago, they shared a loving relationship, maintaining a bond that was a testament to their mutual respect and love for their family.

Mitch is survived by his former spouse Susan Heminger (Gross); children Kristalynn Heminger (Mark Davarn), Jessica (Brian) Elliott, Nicholas Heminger (Shannon Lyday); grandchildren Cynthia, Connor, Ayden, Noah, Avery, Mitchel and Emmet; step mother Sandra Heminger; siblings Pam (Bill) Hoyt, Brian (Brenda) Heminger, Les Heminger, Vida (Jerry) Heiss, Lieu (Lisa) Sabin, Angie (Ed) Fisher and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Joshua Heminger; Mother Margaret Sabin; Father Russell Heminger and sister Sherry Heminger-Reed.

The family will have a private graveside service.

A celebration of his life will be held on January 4, 2025 at the Portland VFW at 1:00 p.m., to honor the memory of a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forgotten Eagles in his memory.

Mitch will forever be remembered for his love of the open road, his remarkable talent, and his unyielding love for his family. He will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Mitch. May your trails always be smooth, your rides always be free, and your adventures never end.
