Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia Ann Smith, age 79 of East Lansing, MI, passed away January 9, 2026. She was born May 20, 1946, in Carson City, Michigan to Reynold and Irene (Schueller) Smith and is survived by her son, Scott (Jodi) Feldpausch, and daughter, Stacey (Brian) Thayer, grandchildren; Gunnar Maroney, Morgan, Scott Jr. (Danielle), and Kate Feldpausch, great-grandchildren; Eleanor and Veronica Roman-Maroney, siblings; Judy Thelen, Wilma Whitehead, and Pete (Linda) Smith, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Arlene Schafer, Katherine Smith, Alice Smith, Roy Smith, Delbert Smith, Dennis Smith, and Joyce Thelen. Patricia worked for the State of Michigan for 47 years. She loved photography and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events no matter how far she had to drive. She was always curious, asking questions to fully understand as she loved to learn. Her laugh was infectious! In her earlier years, she was a skilled bowler and enjoyed various crafts. She was a beloved soul whose legacy lives on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St.Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital which was near and dear to her heart.
