Phillip Eric Brammell, age 67 years old. Born December 31,1954 in Paintsville, KY to the late Gene and Clara (Clifton) Brammell. The family moved to Michigan at young age to the Mason area, then later to Ionia where he went to school and went into the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Clara Brammell, one sister, Vanessa Brammell Peterson, and 1 niece, Kristen Johnston. Survivors include wife, Margaret (Maggie) Brammell, daughters, Cassie (Alex) Mojica of Eagle Point, OR, Erica (Caleb) Knight of Grand Rapids, MI, Shanessa (Devon Hart) Brammell of Greenville, MI, Candy Chivington of Jackson, MI, Jana (Jay) Poarch of Lenoir, NC, Jessica (Rusty) Dellinger of Taylorsville, NC, sons, Jason Brammell of Medford, OR, Cody (Susan) Horton Saginaw, MI, Christopher (Amanda) Messer of Lenoir, NC, Christian (Nicole Farrelly) Messer of Ionia, MI, one sister, Sharon (Richard) Harmon of Muir, MI, one brother-in-law, Chuck Peterson, several grandchildren: Marcus, Brooke, Justice, Seydra, Alex (Mateo) of Oregon, Malachi of California, Tristen Hart of Greenville, MI, Melanie, Liliane, Daniel of Ionia, MI, Jeremiah, Rachel of Taylorsville, NC, Axl, Nick, Liam of Lenoir, NC. and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Phillip went into the Army in 1973 to 1976 and spent his years in Washington, DC and he was sent to Georgia to skydive which he loved to do. He was an avid golfer and loved to go to his grandpa's in Kentucky to his golf course. He worked for Chrysler in Muir, MI and did a bit of selling cars as a car salesman as well. He also did some bartending at Bunkies in Ionia and the Blinker Light in Mecosta, MI. Then in 1978, he found his love of driving a semi-truck from the east coast to the west coast. He owned a school in Mecosta, MI to teach men and women to drive a semi-truck, he wanted everyone see what he fell in love with.
