Phillip John Scheurer

Phillip John Scheurer, age 65, of Lyons, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. Phil was born on October 27, 1958, the son of Kenneth and Jeanette (Esterline) Scheurer. He worked 20 plus years at T.R.W. in Portland and he had a lifelong passion for farming- always, willing to lend a helping hand. Phil enjoyed hunting and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; infant sister, Caroline Jean; brother-in-law, Tom Mitchell; niece, Ashley Marie Blood and several aunts and uncles. Surviving are his siblings, Ed Scheurer, Georgia Mitchell, Jane (Mike) Blood, and Dave (Sheri) Scheurer; nieces and nephews, Michael, Julie, Libby, Marcie, Grant, Justin, Zachary, Preston, Peyton, Skyler, and Storm; special friends, Dave Bauer and Dean Lowe; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A private burial will be in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
