Raymond Kissinger, Sr., of Westphalia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on June 15, 2022. He was born on October 12, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Raymond served in both the United States Army and Navy. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his “ginormus family”. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Stump in 1978 and was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, April Renee Kissinger. Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Kissinger as well as many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by blood as well as by heart. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Peter Lawrence at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #3733. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Elara Caring Home Health, Elara Caring Hospice or to the Sr. Myra Beltz Educational Scholarship Fund.
