Richard Dan Hanley

July 29, 1944 to August 6, 2024

Richard Hanley, age 80, passed away in his sleep in Portland, MI on August 6, 2024.  He was born to Dan and Dorothy Hanley in Shepherd, MI on July 29, 1944.  Richard graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1963, and went on to become a very talented woodworker and machinist.  He was the owner of Hanley’s Cabinet Shop and a member of the Portland Machinist Guild.

He was predeceased by his parents; siblings Tom Hanley, Jackie Price and Gail Miller; nephew Marty Hanley and great nephew Bradley Hanley.  He is survived by nephews Mark, Matt and John Hanley and their families, niece Amy Nostrant and wonderful friends and companions Denise Ladisky and Valerie Jensen.
