It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our father, Roger Norman Pung, who left us on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Roger resided in Zephyrhills, Florida but he was originally from Eagle, MI. He was a man with a huge heart and loving spirit. He immensely enjoyed cruising the Caribbean with family. Roger experienced great pleasure at amusement parks, beaches and playing bingo. Roger cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Roger worked and retired from the State of Michigan after 20 years, moved to Florida where he worked and retired from the United States Post Office after 20 years. Roger was full of love and laughter that touched the lives of all who knew him and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Helen (Fedewa) Pung Sr.; siblings, Paul Pung, Richard (Judy) Pung Jr., Peter Pung, brother-in-law, Donald Schafer; life long friend Melton Emerick. Surviving are his children; Kelly Snider, Kevin (Nikki) Pung, Kyle (Cammie) Pung; Grand Children; Joshua Proctor, Jessica Hale, Kaleb, Caden, Jaylen (Kelsi) Pung; Great Grandchildren; Tiffany, Kyara, Jaxson, Jru, Jaylen Jr Pung; siblings, Pauline Schafer, Therese (Mike) Gross, Helen (Lavern) Carr, Dennis (Julie) Pung, Connie Pung; close friend Travis Hawley; and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. The Rite of Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery with a luncheon to follow. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. Arrangements are with Lehman Funeral Homes.
