Ronald J. Blakeman

Ronald J. Blakeman passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 79. Ronald was a 1964 graduate of Pontiac Central High School and then a graduate Lawrence Technology University in Southfield, Michigan. He married Priscilla “Rusty” Chenowith on June 21, 2008. He retired from General Motors, and his hobby was amateur radio.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents—his father Edmund and stepmother Mary (Rankin), his mother Gladys, and his son David.

He will be missed by his beloved wife, Priscilla “Rusty”; his daughter, Diane (Jason) Danford; and his stepchildren, Linda (Jim) Fox, Laura (Shawn) Hedger, and Jim (Angel) McCliggott. He leaves behind four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren—with one more expected in January. Ronald is also survived by his siblings: Lisa (Clayton) Hisler of Kalamazoo; Cindy (Mark) Kerston; Patricia (Larry) Veatch; and Ted (Shelly) Blakeman, all of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Lehman Funeral Home, 210 East Bridge Street, Portland. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the service. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
