Sandra Kay Misner

Sandra Kay Misner, age 80, of Ionia, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1943 in Ionia the daughter of Forrest and Opal (Underhill) Shattuck, Sr. Sandy enjoyed listening to music, attending blue grass festivals and tractor shows with her husband, Cy. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #5065 Sheridan Post and a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge for several years. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan but was most happy spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Cy; siblings, Forrest Shattuck, Jr., Joan Misner, Judy Brown and Billie Jo Shattuck; granddaughter, Angela Gutierrez. Surviving are her daughters, Polly Misner and Mary (Maximo Gutierrez) Misner; grandchildren, Ashley and R.J. Reidt, Daniel (Jamie) Benedict, Brad (Monique) Benedict, Casey and Kevin Scheidt, Max (Mary Berry) Gutierrez, Kristina (Gavin) Gmazel and Victoria Gutierrez; great grandchildren, Hunter, Bibby and Ezekiel, Aiden, Logan, Rakhyla, Emma, Owen, Abigail, Ava, Zavian, Kyas, Amelia, Aubrey, Royce, Wyatt and Mariya; siblings, Becky (Steve) Peters and Jean (Jesse Gonzales) Foster; caring neighbors, Chad (Chasity) Lindsley. A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor John Prominski at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2023 at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. A luncheon will follow at Restore Church, 430 W. Main St, Ionia.
