Shannon Marie Clark (Edgerton), age 53, passed away on May 8, 2026, at Hospice of Lansing - Stoneleigh Residence, surrounded by family.

Shannon was born on July 20, 1972, to Ted Edgerton and Cheryl Spalding (Smith). She graduated from Owosso High School and devoted her professional life to public service. Shannon began her career with MiSDU in 2005 and later continued her service with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child Support, in 2016.

On September 12, 2015, Shannon married the love of her life, Thomas Lee Clark, in Laingsburg at "The Pit," a place she held dear and loved sharing with family and friends. Their marriage was one rooted in companionship, shared passions, and deep affection.

Shannon found her greatest peace outdoors—surrounded by fresh air, open skies, and the living world she cherished so deeply. Whether she was watching Tom race, tending to her garden, going for a boat ride on Manistee Lake or quietly observing nature, she found beauty in life exactly as it was meant to be lived.

Her love extended deeply to her fur babies-Diesel and Otis, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Animals held a special place in her heart, and she cared for them with the same gentleness and devotion she shared with everyone she loved. Shannon's compassion for animals, people, and nature reflected the truest parts of who she was.

Shannon is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Lee Clark of Ovid; two daughters, Nicole Dawn (Clark) Carrington of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Alicia Marie Clark of Dimondale, Michigan; and her cherished grandchildren—granddaughters Sophia and Juliana, and grandson Hendrix. She is also survived by her parents, sister, several in-laws and nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.

Shannon's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Services
A memorial celebrating Shannon's life will be held at Peacock Road Family Farm on June 12, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate a life lived with kindness and compassion. Time to be determined.
