Sheila Ann Long

Sheila A. Long, 70, of Mason, MI passed away at her home after a short battle with throat cancer.  She was surrounded by her daughters, Christy & Carrie, son-in-law, John & nieces, Tara & Lisa as she took her last breaths.

Sheila was born in Detroit, MI & adopted, along with her identical twin Sheryl, by Sidney & Doris Gelman of Redford, MI. 

Sheila will be remembered for her love of crafting, sewing, cooking, baking (especially Christmas cookies), & gardening.  She also enjoyed crocheting & origami.

Sheila is survived by daughters, Christy (John) & Carrie (Steve); grandchildren: Kayla, Ashley, John, Andrew, Haley, David & Adelynn; brothers, Howard & David; numerous nieces & nephews; significant other, Rick & her cat, Ernie.  Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney & Doris & sisters, Sheryl & Holly. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shelter To Home in Wyandotte, MI and I Heart Dogs Rescue & Animal Haven in Warren, MI.

Per Sheila’s final wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.
