Steve Lawrence

Steve was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 8, 1951, to Dick and Flo Lawrence. He was raised in Portland MI, but recently residing in Roanoke, VA. Prior to this he lived Florida for 47 years, twenty of which were in Sun City Center golfing and living the life.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Jan (Closson) Lawrence, son Kyle (Stephanie) Lawrence, and Bumpa to grandchildren Hunter, and Sarah, brothers Bob and Tom both of Portland, and many nieces and nephews.

Steve had many passions: family, fishing, NASCAR and golfing (where he scored five holes in one) or any sport with a ball or steering wheel.

The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, with Pastor Rob Lawrence. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Mulliken. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
