Thomas Gibbons Buck

Thomas Gibbons Buck, age 90, of Portland, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022. He was born in Portland, the son of Harold White Buck and Margaret (Gibbons) Buck on December 5, 1931. Tom was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan in 1954 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He was a Lieutenant in the US Army and upon returning to civilian life, he worked in the insurance business for many years. He was also a Freemason in the Masonic Lodge.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his beloved wife of 48 years, Scotty Buck in 2003. Surviving are his daughter, Cathy (David) Boesenberg; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, G. Joseph (Joan) Buck of California.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Buck will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will follow in Portland Cemetery with military honors provided by the Portland VFW Post #4090. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
