March 12, 1965 ~ April 14, 2026 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Timothy Henfling Obituary

Age 61, passed away on April 14, 2026. Tim was born to Jimmie Wayne Henfling and Joyce Glenda (Henfling) Briggs on March 12, 1965.  He grew up in Mason, Michigan and graduated from Mason High School in 1983.  He worked as an auto mechanic his whole life and worked many years for his family-owned business. He spent 42 years with Shelley Shepherd before her passing in 2021. He was her caregiver in her final days.  Tim loved working with his hands building small engines and found a love for refurbishing old wood furniture and to build small chests and boxes.  He collected old coins and loved doing scratch off tickets. One of his favorite pastimes was playing spades with his family. 

Together Tim and Shelley had four children Josh (Tiffany), Heather (Josh), Evan (Lauren) and Lucas (Brianne); 11 grandchildren Hope, Lauren, Eli, Easton, Demi, Landon, Logan, Lakelyn, Nolan, Hank and Harper; one great granddaughter, Vivienne.  

Tim was proceeded in death by his lifelong love Shelley Shepherd, both of his parents Jimmie and Joyce, his sister Denise and his grandparents   

Tim is survived by his children, grandchildren, great granddaughter, his 3 brothers Alan (Joi), Scott (Debra), Roger (Doloras), his stepfather, Harvey Briggs, his trusted friend Val Martinez his beloved dogs Buddy and Babygirl, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tim will always be remembered as a man with a big heart and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pizanno’s, 1825 N. Grand River Ave, Lansing MI 48906 on May 31, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
