Verne "Bunny" L. Freeland

Verne Louise “Bunny” Freeland, age 77, of Chippewa Lake, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at home. She was born on December 30, 1942, the daughter of Ervin and Beulah Curtis. Bunny enjoyed going to the casino and using her computer for various activities. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory in 2006 and her brother-in-law, Ray Gregory. Surviving are her husband of nearly 29 years, Ralph; a daughter, Cristy Stoddard; grandsons, Christopher (Becca) Stoddard and their children, Jack, Mason and Remi; Greg Stoddard and his children, Lainy, Ava and Mark; Josh Stoddard, Thomas and Matthew Alexander; her sister, Kathy Gregory; her dog, Sadie; and several nieces and a nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will follow at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
